Intensive Russian Assaults Cut Power Across Kyiv

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced heavy assaults overnight. A minor lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults succeed periods of air raids in the area, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
